“Docere” is a Latin word that is the origin of the word doctor and it means, to teach or to instruct. The Roman scholar, Cicero first coined the term “Docere” in 55 BC in his book, De Oratore. In his book he describes the nature of an ideal speaker. He elaborates that the ideal speaker must able to teach, delight and motivate his audience. He further elaborates, “Docere” means to provide truth through rational argument and statement of facts.
